A day spent exploring the maginificent scenic beauty of the Panorama with its breath-taking views: The Blyde River Canyon, third largest in the world,is protected by a 26 000 ha nature reserve. This spectacular canyon was gauged from the earth’s crust by the humble Blyde River over a period of 60 million years. There are superb views, with them finest of them overlooking the Three Rondavels.
Bourke’s Luck Potholes: This is the confluence of the Blyde and Treur Rivers, a dramatic landscape of strange pools and cauldrons of rock where man’s history can be traced back for millions of years.
God’s Window: So called for its stunning views of the Lowveld more than 900 meters below. On a clear day you can see as far as the Kruger National Park and, beyond that, Mozambique.

Today you can choose how adventurous or how relaxing this day should be. There is a option to repeat the awesome experience in Kruger Park, maybe for half a day, or:
A truly exhilarating experience, the freedom of gliding over one of the last remaining natural forested valleys along the Sabie River. The arial cable trail takes you down into the valley basin, stopping along the way on a number of elevated platforms to admire the natural vegetation, bird life and the views of the forest floor below.
One and two hour Quad trails takes you through the scenic Sabie River Valley, winding along the Sabana River, indigenous vegetation, hills and other streams. The tracks vary from technical to very easy, something to offer the expert as well as the beginner! Halfway is a quick stop for soft drinks and snacks before getting back to serious Quad Biking.
The horse trails are for beginners, intermediate, and advanced. Become one with nature as you enjoy the beautiful Lowveld scenery of the Sabana River, indigenous bush and fruit orchards on horseback. Small game and hippo are still roaming around in the area and might be spotted on your trail. Abundant bird life makes bird watching a feast; so don’t forget your binoculars.
Enjoy the spectacular scenery and the rush of rapids when white-water rafting the lower Sabie River. Halfday -2.5 hours. All safety equipment needed is provided.
Winding along the scenic Mac-Mac River, this is an easy walk of about 4 hours Lush vegetation and an impressive amount of bird, tree and fish species are to be found in the ample stretches of shade and riverbanks. Bum sliding and swimming in the cool water pools of the Mac-Mac River ensures a day filled with fun and laughter.
Africa Silk Worms
At Africa Silks you will once again be reminded of the wonders of nature. You will be amazed to see how the silkworm cocoons are processed into the most beautiful threads.
These are then hand-woven to produce a variety of products for clothing and interior decorating. Experience the very interesting guided tour, browse in the beautiful showroom and enjoy spectacular views. The cocoons used at Africa Silks are collected as a job creation project for unemployed women.
They have been a landmark of the Lowveld for the past 50 years, and is well worth a visit. At this cellar unique orange beverages are fermented in the old-fashioned way.
Shangana Cultural Village
The residents of the traditional villages of Shangana invite guests to share in the way of the life of the Shangaan people. The picturesque villages, created and built by local Shangaan people, are set in the shade of ancient trees in a reserve of forest and grassland. It forms a place of great pride and a way of preserving a rich heritage for us and an example of South Africa’s great cultural diversity. Trained guides lead guests down to the villages.
